Tagetes lucida, also known as Mexican Tarragon, is used as a medicinal plant and as a culinary herb. It is rather drought tolerant and can grown in varying light conditions.

Sunlight: Full sunlight or Partial sunlight

Water: Water moderately when soil feels dry to the touch, do not over-water as it may cause plant to rot.

Fertiliser: Keep plant in top form by feeding the plants every few weeks with a diluted solution of liquid fertilizer or sprinkling solid fertilizer onto soil.

Soil for Mexican Tarragon

Mexican Tarragon should be grown in fertilised potting mix. Make or buy a fertilised mix which consist of coco peat moss or coconut fiber (coir), vermiculite or perlite, compost and other ingredients. Mexican Tarragon plants prefer a well-draining soil. A lightweight soil for Mexican Tarragon needs to provide excellent drainage, hold moisture, and give roots room to grow.

Light Requirements

All plants depend on light for their survival, and making sure your potted plants get the right amount of light is key to keeping them happy. For both indoor and outdoor containers, group plants with similar light requirements. Don't mix shade lovers with sun lovers in a single pot; one or both of them will be unhappy, depending on where you place the pot.
